It seems in Hollywood there are two extremes when it comes to celebrity weddings: we either hear about the darn thing before there’s even been a proposal or we find out the couple is dating after they announce that they have gotten hitched. The latest marriage that falls under the second heading is between two co-stars on the sci-fi show The Fringe.

Anna Torv and Mark Valley got hitched during the holidays but wanted to keep it on the down low to stave off any drama on set. Now that it has been decided that Valley will be leaving the show, the two decided to come clean about their nuptials, telling cast and crew in late January.

Little detail has been divulged about the wedding, which took place within days of Valley’s 45 birthday.
